Visits
I love visiting schools, bookshops and libraries! Please contact me via Authors Aloud, ContactAnAuthor or the Contact section if you would like me to visit you. You can read my blog about school visits here.
I really enjoy sharing my stories – and there’s always lots of joining in! I also talk about how I write and how books are made, to encourage children to write their own books.
“Our children and staff loved your books, your commitment and your obvious pleasure in storying with children. The assembly was lively, upbeat and engaging for KS1, whilst the story writing workshops in KS2 were inspiring and highly motivating. The whole day created a real buzz throughout the school – I’d wholeheartedly recommend you to other primary schools.” Darrell Wood, Headteacher, Five Acres Primary School
“Thank you Teresa for great workshops with Years 1 and 2. Your storytelling was engaging and interactive and all the children enjoyed listening and joining in. They were inspired to write their own ‘Very Little…’ stories and were full of ideas and enthusiasm thanks to your workshop.” Teachers at St Nicholas Primary School
“Teresa intuitively understands young children and deals with their questions without patronising them but also without talking over their heads. She ran writing workshops, which sparked the children’s imaginations. As we toured the classes, children of all ages in KS1 and KS2 were keen to share what they had written and it was evident that they were engaged with the process and the task that Teresa had introduced.” Nikki Gamble, Director, Just Imagine
“Teresa was supportive in planning an exciting and engaging day in which the children had the opportunity to listen to an author’s thought processes when planning a book. The children really enjoyed the day and we would thoroughly recommend her to visit any school.” Charlotte Stewart, Deputy Headteacher, Larkrise Primary School

Hi
I was wondering if you were free to make an appearance at Cholsey Primary School on World Book day, Thursday 7th March?
If you are, what are your charges?
Kind Regards

Hi Teresa,
I hope you are well. My name is Hannah and I am a year one teacher at Romiley Primary School. I am making a reading newsletter for our school and we would love to interview you for our very first edition.
We love your books and my class have come up with some questions for you to answer if possible…
– Did you always want to be an author?
– Which is your favourite book that you’ve written and why?
– Do you have any tips for an aspiring writer?
– Where do you get your fantastic ideas from?
– Who is your favourite book character and why?
– How long does it take you to write a book?
Thank you in advance for taking your time to read and respond to this email.
Best wishes,
Hannah
